Whether preparing for a class visit to the Center or looking for instructional materials to use in the classroom, the National Constitution Center provides resources and services for educators.

The Center’s school and group visits are self-guided and thematic alternatives to traditional museum tours. Our Web site provides background material and reservation information for school and group visits.

When visiting the museum, we welcome teachers and students to stop by the Annenberg Center for Education and Outreach to browse through our collection of history, civics, and social studies reference materials.  Our educational outreach program offers a range of curriculum resources centered on both teaching the Constitution and promoting civic engagement in communities and schools.

Classroom instructional materials include Current Events for the Classroom, which help students learn about the Constitution through a series of discussion guides and essays focusing on daily headlines. The Teacher’s Backpack contains opportunities and resources for teachers and administrators.

Students and families should visit  For Kids! to play the Save the Bill of Rights game or a constitutional crossword puzzle. Before visiting the Center get the Constitution Quest sheets, which help guide children through an exciting search for museum exhibit items like the mystery faces from the American National Tree or chads from a voting box used in the 2000 election. Constitutional Quests also commemorate people and celebrations by focusing on themes such as Women in the Constitution, The Presidents, and a Quest created just for Scouts.
