National Student Deliberation

The Exchange is an exciting way for high school students to discover how their peers in their classrooms and around the country view important constitutional issues facing the nation. The Constitution Center produces three programs a year, each on a different constitutional topic. Each program features a unique classroom based curriculum and a live video conference event, allowing students from around the country to deliberate face to face.

Winter 2008 Topic

Is the Constitution Colorblind?

The next installment of The Exchange, will take place on Wednesday December 17, 2008, when students deliberate the question: Is the Constitution color-blind? The concept of a color-blind Constitution was first used to dismantle legal discrimination against African Americans in the 19th century and is now at the forefront of the debate over affirmative action.

For additional information about participating in the program, please send an e-mail to Jason Allen or call 215-409-6644.
