DAVID GURA
David Gura is an assistant editor of Talk of the Nation, NPR’s midday news-talk program. He produces live coverage of breaking news, long-form interviews, and remote broadcasts. On occasion, he fills in for the show’s director and line producer. Most recently, Gura co-produced NPR’s broadcast of the inauguration of President Barack Obama. In 2008, he worked on NPR’s campaign and election coverage; during the Democratic National Convention, he filed daily reports from Denver. His writing has appeared in The New York Times and the Independent Weekly, inter alia, and his radio pieces have aired on NPR’s newscasts and magazine programs. Previously, Gura interned for North Carolina Public Radio’s The State of Things and NPR’s All Things Considered. He graduated from Cornell University, magna cum laude, and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
