Gabrielle Gurley
Gabrielle Gurley is a staff writer for Common Wealth magazine, a quarterly of politics, ideas, and civic life in Massachusetts, published by MassINC, a Boston-based, non-partisan think tank. Her most recent stories have focused on school integration in the Bay State and the fiscal woes facing its cities and towns. She began her career in television as a traffic coordinator with C-SPAN in Washington. In Boston, she worked as an associate producer for a Christian Science Monitor Television daily features program, and for public broadcaster WGBH. Her independent projects have appeared in a variety of outlets including The Boston Globe, State House News Service (Boston), and PublishersWeekly.com. She is a recipient of a 2007 Excellence in Statehouse Reporting award from the Association of Capitol Reporters and Editors, a national organization for state and local government journalists.
