DOROTHY PARVAZ
Dorothy Parvaz is an editorial writer and columnist at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, where she writes about politics, often as seen through the lens of popular culture. Born in Iran, she has lived in Tehran, Dubai, Vancouver (which she still considers home), Tokyo, Tucson and Seattle. She previously worked at the Asahi Evening News, The Arizona Republic and the Seattle Times. As a Nieman fellow, she’s currently studying constitutional law, as well as media and policy at Harvard.
