The National Constitution Center is proud to be hosting the 2008 Democratic Pennsylvania Primary Debate.   Before the ABC network cameras roll, before Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama take the stage, the members of the National Constitution Center will get a remarkable opportunity to speak to the producers, the editors and the political experts about the making of this historic broadcast.

You’ll see the actual stage set located inside the Center’s intimate Kimmel Theater, where visitors usually see Freedom Rising.  And you’ll learn exactly what it takes to plan, produce and broadcast the debate from the professionals in charge. Speakers include David Chalian, who helps oversee the editorial content of all political news presented by ABC News; Roger Goodman, a veteran producer and director of many of the network’s special television events, including 10 Olympic Games and every presidential election and political convention since 1981; Mark Halperin, ABC’s political analyst and editor-at-large at TIME magazine, whose online publication The Note has been called the most influential tip sheet in American politics by the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal; and Jake Tapper, senior political reporter for ABC News.  Jane Eisner, Vice President of National Programs and Initiatives at the Center, will be moderating.

Admission is free, but there is a $2.50 handling fee, so have your credit card and membership information on hand.  Because seating for this event is extremely restricted by the size of the theatre, there is a limit of two tickets per household, and a limit of one ticket for Individual Patriot members. Any duplicate orders or orders placed by non-members will be cancelled without refunds.  On the day of the event, doors will open at 8 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.  Seating is general admission.  This offer is non-transferable.
