Lincoln’s 12 Day, 7 State train
ride in the correct order will be entered to win an overnight stay for one room
in a Loews Hotel Property and 4 Round Trip tickets on Amtrak’s® Metroliner
Service good for travel to or from
New York, Philadelphia or Washington D.C.
Winners will receive separate gift certificates. Gift certificates will
be to a Loews property of their choice in either Philadelphia or New York
City as well as four roundtrip tickets to or from New York, Philadelphia or
Washington D.C. on Amtrak’s Metroliner Service. Black out
dates may apply. Please follow instruction on Amtrak gift certificates. Gift
Certificates will be good for one year after receipt. Winner of the contest will
be selected on September 1,
2005.
ELIGIBILTY. The
‘Ride Like Lincoln Contest’ (“contest”), is offered only in the
United States and is open
only to legal U.S. residents. Participants under
the age of 18 must redeem prizes with the consent and complete supervision of
the parent/and or legal guardian. Employees, officers and directors of National
Constitution Center, Loews Corporation, and Amtrak, their respective parent
companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, promotion/marketing agencies
and independent contractors of any of the above entities, their immediate family
members (parents, children, siblings, spouse) regardless of where they live or
their same household members (whether related or not) are not eligible to
participate or win. National Constitution, Loews Corporation, and Amtrak
employees are not eligible to win the contest. This contest is void where prohibited by
law.
ENTRY.
Beginning June 1,
2005 at 12:00 AM Eastern Time until August 31, 2005 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Winner
will be selected and announced on September 1, 2005 and will be notified by phone. After
completing the correct “train ride” please fill out the entry completely with
your name and or parent/legal guardian’s if applicable, complete address, home
phone number (including area code) and daytime phone number (including area
code). Incomplete entries will be discarded.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION. Participant agrees to abide
by and be bound by these official rules which are final and binding in all
respects. Winner, if any, will be required to sign and return an affidavit of
eligibility and a publicity release (where legal). Failure to comply with this
requirement or if prize notification is returned as undeliverable (if
applicable) will result in forfeiture of prize, with an alternate winner being
selected. ALL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE
SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRIZE WINNER.
All expenses not specifically listed above are the sole responsibility of
the prize winner.
Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any
individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the operation
of the Competition or the web site.
PRIZE DRAWING.
Winner will be selected in a random drawing to be conducted on or about
the expiration date. The random drawing will be conducted at the National Constitution Center. The odds of winning depend upon
the total number of eligible entries received. Winner will be notified by email
or telephone within 5 business days of drawing date. If National Constitution Center is unable to contact potential winner or if
potential winner fails to respond to the prize notification within 14 days of
issuance of notification or if winner fails to comply with any of the
requirements, an alternate winner shall be selected through another random
drawing conducted at the National Constitution Center. By entering the promotion, winner
authorizes the use of his or her name for promotional purposes, including online
announcements, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
The museum visit will be scheduled 4-6 weeks after verification of winner
status.
GENERAL RELEASE AND DISCLAIMER.
By entering the Contest, the participant releases National Constitution
Center, Loews Corporation, and The
National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) and their respective affiliated
companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agencies from any
liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any
kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or with the acceptance,
possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs,
injuries and losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or
destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal
in a false light).
Further, neither of National Constitution
Center, Loews Corporation, or The National Railroad Passenger Corporation
(Amtrak) is responsible or liable for:
(a) any failure of a participant to complete an Entry properly, (b) any
technical or computer malfunctions, or (c) any printing or typographical errors
in any materials associated with the Contest.
By accepting prize, where permitted by law, winner grants Sponsor the right
to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or
hereafter developed, including but not limited to the world wide web, at any
time or times, the winner's name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and
biographical information as news or information and for advertising and
promotional purposes without additional compensation, and without review,
approval or further notice.
WINNER'S LIST: The name of the winner will be available after
the winner has been officially notified. Please mail a self-addressed stamped
envelope to: National Constitution Center, Lincoln Prize Winners, 525 Arch Street, Independence Mall, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
