The National Constitution Center’s Teacher Advisory Board supports the Center’s education team in developing and evaluating materials on the Interactive Constitution: Classroom Edition, and presents content created to support students using the National Constitution Center’s nonpartisan educational resources.
The collaboration with these skilled educators helps inform the National Constitution Center’s efforts to better educate young people on the Constitution using high quality, effective classroom materials and instruction. Content and lesson plans created by the Teacher Advisory Board are available for free download on the Center’s and its partners’ websites and distributed via the Center’s national teacher network at conferences and professional development programs in Philadelphia and across the country.
The National Constitution Center’s Teacher Advisory Board currently includes 21 educators from traditional-public, charter, parochial, and independent high schools and middle schools across the United States with approximately 250 years of combined teaching experience. One-third work in Title I schools, and over half teach Advanced Placement classes.
